Mathematics Teacher- September

  • Full time Maths teacher Position starting in September

Our client secondary school in Oldham is currently looking to appoint a teacher of Maths to start in September for a maternity cover, which is expected to continue for a minimum of two terms.

This secondary school moved into a brand new state of the art building in 2013, where students could fully access the curriculum and both the staff and students benefit from the excellent provisions and resources for learning. Located in Oldham, the school is diverse and co-educational catering to students from across Oldham and Manchester. Recently, the school achieved the most improved school in Oldham and Greater Manchester as well as being in the top 4% nationally for improved GCSE results, with the 85% of pupils achieving five of more A*-C grades.

The school is located in Oldham and is easily accessible via the M60, for non- drivers there Is a variety of bus routes and a tram links from Manchester.

Requirements of working as Maths teacher:

• PGCE or similar teacher training programme specialising in Secondary Maths

• Consistently plan and deliver enthusiastic and engaging lessons to raise attainment

• Experience teaching Maths to different ability across KS3 and KS4

• Both Newly qualified and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
