Maths teacher required at a Bolton Secondary School

Our client school located in Bolton, Lancashire seek to appoint a Maths teacher on a temporary basis (Initially 1 term) to cover for an absent member of staff.

- Pay in line with MPS/UPS

Due to an unexpected absence, the head of Maths seeks to appoint a highly committed Maths teacher who can ‘hit the ground running’. This is a temporary post initially through till the Christmas holidays with the possibility of this being extended.

The successful applicant will be required to teach both KS3 and GCSE Maths to a range of classes with pupils varying in ability. The ideal candidate will have a track record of consistently delivering ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ practice and will be prepared to take on full teaching responsibilities including; marking, planning, attending departmental meetings.

Situated within the Bolton Council, the school neighbours the communities of Blackrod, Bolton, Atherton and Hindley. The school is average in size with around 1000 pupils on roll. The vast majority of children are of white British heritage and the number of pupils with learning difficulties or a statement for special needs is below the national average. Located close to Westhoughton, the School is easily accessible as it is only a short drive from the M61 and has direct transport links to the surrounding areas.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
