Mathematics Teacher for required for Mainstream Secondary Schools

Due to a shortage of Fully Qualified Teachers of Mathematics, I am now looking at recruiting Maths specialists to work in secondary schools in the Gainsborough area.

The successful applicant for this post will:

•be passionate about teaching and learning;

•hold a relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent;

•have at least one years experience in teaching in the UK education sector;

•ideally have proven track record of achievement for their cohorts;

•be able to engage and motivate students;

•use assessment for learning tools, matching learning to individual needs;

•seek to consistently improve their own practice;

•promote the values of the school;

•have a driving licence and have access to a car


Day-to-day activities may include:

•preparing and delivering lessons to a range of classes of different ages and abilities;

•marking work, giving appropriate feedback and maintaining records of pupils' progress and development;

•researching new topic areas, maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge, and devising and writing new curriculum materials;

•selecting and using a range of different learning resources and equipment, including podcasts and interactive white boards;

•preparing pupils for qualifications and external examinations;

•managing pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, and applying appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehavior;

•undertaking pastoral duties, such as taking on the role of form tutor, and supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties;

•communicating with parents and carers over pupils' progress and participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole school training events;

•liaising with other professionals

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
