Teaching Personnel are currently seeking an exceptional English teacher to join one of our client secondary schools in Stockport, from January. This position will be full-time.

The start date for this role is the 8th of January 2024.

Salary: throughout this role, you will be paid in line with your Teacher Pay Scale, (£30,000 to £46,525 per annum).

Responsibilities:

  • Teach English to students up to GCSE.
  • Develop and implement creative and engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing regular feedback and setting challenging targets for improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a coherent and effective curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental and whole-school initiatives to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and pastoral care.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) with a degree in English or a related subject
  • Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of current curriculum developments.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to raising the achievement of all students and promoting a positive learning environment.
