The Headteacher at a Large Salford based Secondary school is seeking a full-time Maths teacher from October 2019 to cover a 12 month maternity leave.

This Salford school borderlines with neighbouring Bolton/Wigan and has just over 1000 pupils enrolled, aged 11-16. The school has seen drastic positive changes across all areas of learning, particularly attendance, behaviour and achievement.

The school has seen consistently good grades during GCSE Examinations within the Mathematics department, and thus is seeking a skilled Maths Teacher who can continue challenging their pupils with outstanding teaching and learning.

The responsibilities for the successful Maths teacher will include but may not be limited to:

  • Accountable to Curriculum Leader during and throughout post.
  • Promote outstanding pedagogy across the school board, and demonstrate outstanding practice.
  • Identify clear objectives and content within Maths for all pupils including how these will be taught, evaluated and assessed.
  • Organise a stimulating and inspiring learning environment.
  • Ensure regulations regarding Health and Safety are maintained both within the Maths department and the school.

Salford is easily accessible via the M60/A580 (East Lancashire Road) and the surrounding areas; Bolton. Wigan and Trafford. There are also numerous public transport options readily available with links across Greater Manchester.
