Job description

Over subscribed Secondary school based in the Bradshaw metropolitan borough of Bolton is seeking a skilled Maths teacher on a full time basis from April 2019 till the end of the academic years.

Due to a recent restructure within the department this Ofsted graded 'Outstanding' Secondary school is seeking to appoint an experienced Maths teacher to work across Key Stages 3 and 4 taking on full responsibilities.

  • Full time Maths teacher required from April 2019.
  • Opportunity to work within an Ofsted graded 'Good' Secondary school.
  • Must hold QTS alongside subject specific qualifications within Mathematics to be considered.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23, 720 - £39, 406.

This large Secondary school is located in the Bradshaw metropolitan borough of Bolton; it has consistently demonstrated an outstanding approach towards dynamic student centred teaching and learning.

The responsibilities for the successful Maths teacher will include:

  • Accountable to Curriculum Leader during and throughout post.
  • Promote outstanding pedagogy across the school board, and demonstrate outstanding practice.
  • Identify clear objectives and content within Maths for all pupils including how these will be taught, evaluated and assessed.
  • Organise a stimulating and inspiring learning environment.
  • Ensure regulations regarding Health and Safety are maintained both within the Maths department and the school.

The school has just over 1686 pupils on roll aged 11-16, and is located in the Bradshaw constituency of Bolton. It can be easily accessed from the surrounding areas; Salford, Preston and Wigan. There is also an abundance of public transport options readily available with links across Greater Manchester.
