Full time Maths teacher required for a Salford Secondary school from January 2019, on a fixed term contract till the end of the academic year.

Teaching Personnel are working in collaboration with a Salford Secondary school to recruit an experienced Maths Teacher to join their outstanding Maths faculty due to a long term sickness absence.

  • Full time Maths Teacher position from January 2019.
  • Must hold QTS alongside subject specific qualification within Mathematics.
  • Opportunity to work in an Ofsted rated 'Good' Secondary school.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23, 720 - £39, 406.

This Salford Secondary school has received 'Good' through Ofsted consistently over the last few years with 'Outstanding' in Behaviour and Safety. With the 9 members of staff within the Maths department all working under the guidance of the Director of Mathematics

The successful Maths Teacher will be required to place all pupils at the centre of learning, challenging each individual through targets which withhold a sense of pride in performance and behaviour.

  • Deliver a variety of approaches to teaching and learning to engage and motivate pupils and demand their active participation.
  • Provide an appreciation of the importance and relevance of Mathematics in the world of work in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Continually improve the standards of achievement in Mathematics at Key Stages 3/4 and GCSE.

The school is based in Swinton, Salford, the Secondary school has just over 750 pupils on roll, aged 11-16. It has been noted for its engaging practice which is shared amongst all staff and the relations built amongst pupils.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
