Maths Teacher - Wigan

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a large Secondary school in Wigan to recruit a forward thinking, experienced Maths teacher to join their faculty in September 2018.

Due to a recent resignation, the Secondary school wish to interview and appoint a Maths teacher ahead of the new academic year. The position is initially being offered on a full time temporary basis for two terms with a view to securing a permanent position following the success of the initial appointment.

  • Full time Maths teacher, September 2018 start
  • Teaching Maths to students across KS3 and GCSE
  • Must hold QTS - Delivering Maths across the full age and ability range
  • Interviews to be held with immediate effect
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on previous teaching experience (£22,917 - £38,633 per annum)

The Senior Leadership Team wishes to appoint a result orientated, self driven Maths teacher that can inspire learning amongst students in line with the recent improvements in school.

The school have recently appointed a new Leadership Team and are now run by two National Leaders of Education who have taken the responsibility of recruitment of new staff amongst many other tasks. The school wish to appoint a Maths teacher who is able to stretch and challenge the learning of students across the ability range. The successful Maths teacher will take responsibility of a full timetable which will include departmental planning and marking responsibilities.

  • This is a smaller than average Secondary school with approximately 680 students on roll
  • Located in the centre of Wigan, the school has an abundance of public transport links from the surrounding areas
  • The school is just minutes away from the A58, making it easily accessible via car
