Maths teacher in South Greater Manchester Full Time

A South Stockport based secondary school is looking to appoint a Full Time Maths teacher from January 2019 until the end of the academic year for Maternity cover. This can provide an opportunity for an experienced Maths teacher or even a NQT in Mathematics. As this is a full time post, being organised and planning lesson are essential, but you will be provided ongoing support from the experienced Maths Department throughout the full 2 terms.

An opportunity to grow within the Maths department to become a permanent member of staff can become available after the initial contract period as there is also a chance to teach Maths for KS5. The School is located in the SK9 postcode of Manchester with close travel links with Trains as well as being just off the main road for those who drive.

This Mixed 11-18 school has a range of students with Pupil premium EAL and SEN. The Ofsted have graded the school a 2 GOOD bordering an OUTSTANDING school. The school has had a growing reputation for high performing school with an above average Progress 8 score.

As this is a Maths position it is essential to have Maths experience within a UK school with QTS. Suitable teaching references are also needed as well as having or being eligible for fully enhanced DBS.
