Maths teacher

Due to an upcoming planned absence within the Maths department, Teaching Personnel have just been approached by our partner secondary school to recruit for a Maths Teacher to join their team from September 2018.

This represents a fantastic opportunity for a Maths Teacher to join a school that is going from strength to strength under the ambitious direction of a newly appointed Head teacher. There will be vast career development opportunities for a Maths Teacher who is willing to immerse themselves in the high performance culture of the school:

• Full time Maths teacher - KS3 and GCSE

• Covering maternity leave - Required to start from September 2018

• Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience (£22,917- £38,633)

• Both newly qualified and experienced Maths Teachers encouraged to apply

• School located close in Stockport with excellent transport links via the nearby motorways

The Role

The incoming Maths teacher will be required to take on full responsibility of a Maths timetable made up of both KS3 and GCSE classes ranging in ability. You will be required to plan and delivering engaging lessons, whereby you will have full access to excellent facilities and resources within this modern school.

The incoming Maths Teacher will join a successful Maths department consisting of 7 experienced teachers who work effectively together to ensure Maths is accessed by all pupils regardless of ability level.

The School

This is an 11-16 Specialist Technology College located on the border of Manchester and Stockport just a short drive from the M60. The school is larger than average with around 1200 pupils on roll. With the post holder due to go on maternity leave prior to September 2018, the headteacher is looking to make a quick appointment. The proportion of pupils known to be eligible for free school meals is above average. The proportion of students from minority ethnic groups is well below that found nationally.
