Job description

Teaching Personnel are working in collaboration with a Bolton based Secondary school to appoint an experienced Maths Teacher from September 2019 or earlier for a long term position.

Due to a resignation within the Maths department this Ofsted graded 'Outstanding' Secondary school is seeking a skilled practitioner to join their successful Maths team.

  • Full time Maths Teacher required from September 2019.
  • Must hold QTS alongside relevant subject specialism within Mathematics to be considered.

  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23, 720 - £39, 406.

This well respected independent Secondary school based in central Bolton has been noted for its dynamic teaching and learning approach amongst all their staff. With a gap within the Maths faculty the school are now seeking a passionate Maths Teacher to join their staff team.

The responsibilities for the successful Maths Teacher will include:

  • Accountable to Curriculum Leader during and throughout post.
  • Promote outstanding pedagogy across the school board, and demonstrate outstanding practice.
  • Identify clear objectives and content within Maths for all pupils including how these will be taught, evaluated and assessed.
  • Organise a stimulating and inspiring learning environment.
  • Ensure regulations regarding Health and Safety are maintained both within the Maths department and the school.

The school has just over 500 pupils on roll has seen outstanding development in all areas, which was highlighted by Ofsted and continues to triumph all challenges through the delivery of progressive, student centred learning. Bolton can be accessed via the M61 and the surrounding areas; Bury, Salford and Wigan. The school can also be accessed through various public transport options with links across Greater Manchester.
