The governors at an oversubscribed Salford Secondary school are seeking to recruit a strong Maths Teacher with exceptionally high standards to join their large welcoming school.

Due to an outstanding gap within the Maths department the incoming Maths Teacher will be responsible for delivering Maths up to GCSE Level within their highlight successful department on a full time basis from September 2019 or earlier.

  • Full time Maths Teacher required from September 2019 or earlier.
  • Must hold QTS alongside relevant subject specific qualification within Maths.
  • Applications are welcome and urged from both experienced and Newly Qualified Teachers.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23, 720 - £39, 406.

The successful Maths Teacher will be welcomed within a forward thinking, resourceful and well guided Maths department supported by an effective Director of Maths and an established staff team where pupils respond well to innovative teaching and learning.

  • To ensure all individual lessons are planned and prepared adequately including the appropriate use of relevant resources.
  • Adopt a forward thinking approach and plan lessons in line with schemes of work well in advance, in accordance with the national curriculum and departmental/school policies
  • Regularly set and mark appropriate work for pupils in order to assess their progression and understanding.

Located just outside Salford town centre the school an easily be accessed via the M602/A580 (East Lancashire Road) and the surrounding areas; Bury, Manchester and Trafford. There are also various public transport options readily available with links across Greater Manchester.
