Are you a forward thinking Teacher of Maths who is able to help students make connections between Maths and the real world, by using formulas and solutions to solve every day problems?

Are you looking for a placement in a "GOOD" school from November 2017?

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking to appoint a qualified Teacher of Maths for one of our partnership Schools in the York area.

The school has been OFSTED rated "Good" and the department are thriving and exceptionally successful. Students have been excluded from mainstream school, however with exam results showing 100% of Year 11 students leaving education with at least 1 GCSE or equivalent qualification.

The role is due to commence after October Half Term and is to work 5 days a week teaching the basics across Maths and English.

The successful candidate will develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives and will facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and by the creative use of resources and the learning environment.

What you will require:

  • Relevant qualifications (Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert. Ed etc.) or equivalent
  • Evidence of strong classroom management skills
  • A track record of demonstrating a strong ability to teach, plan and prepare lessons to Ofsted standards
  • A strong and creative approach to teaching and raising attainment
  • A commitment to develop the personalities, talents and abilities of all students
  • A confident and positive approach to working with children
  • The ability to be a proactive team member, committed to raising standards and achievement
  • An enthusiasm to learn and develop professionally
  • A passion for education within your subject
  • A willingness and enthusiasm to commit to the expectations of the role and desire to contribute to extra-curricular responsibilities
