Maths Support for Key Stage 2 Roman Catholic primary school - Bury M45

This is an exciting opportunity to work in an exciting and forward thinking primary school in Bury and is an ideal role for a Maths Graduate or a Teaching Assistant with Intervention experience.

  • Salary- (£14,000 - £18,000)
  • Starting date - September 2018

With a fantastic links with the local community, this averaged sized Roman Catholic primary school in the Bury area is looking to recruit a teaching assistant specialising in maths to boost attainment across Key Stage 2 maths.

After identifying gaps in some of their children's learning across the Key Stage 2, the senior leadership team are looking for a maths/numeracy specialist to work 1:1 and in small group sessions to close the gap and raise attainment.

The Ideal candidate will have/be:

  • A specialism in mathematics or class room experience using intervention sessions
  • Have a creative approach to learning
  • A confident and outgoing personality and commitment to working for the full year
  • A practising Catholic or be able to work and support a Catholic ethos within the school

The role will be full time and is to start in September 2018 and run until the end of the academic year. To apply for this role, you must have school based experience or have a specialism in Mathematics.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
