Mathematics Graduates -Middlesbrough

Are you a recent Mathematics Graduate wishing to pursue a career in Secondary teaching in the future? Are you motivated by helping children to succeed in maths?

If so, Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with an Good school in Middlesbrough. The school wish to appoint a skilled Mathematics Graduate to work alongside the Maths department to support the learning of all pupils across Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four.

It is preferential that the successful Maths Graduate has previous experience working with young people, either through tuition or a support role.

Over view

  • Full time and part time Maths Graduate teaching assistant positions available
  • Gain invaluable experience prior to completing PGCE/teacher training course
  • Earn up to £300 per week
  • Supporting pupils in class with work, and on a 1:1 basis
  • Reporting to the Head of Maths
  • Covering Maths lessons in the absence of the class teacher
  • Planning and arranging tailored sessions for pupils

Our partner Secondary school has recently been praised for an improving Progress 8 Score of +0.01, meaning all pupils are making the expected progress throughout their education. The role of Mathematics Graduate teaching assistant will be to ensure that all pupils are challenged and pushed to achieve in Maths, whilst having the suitable support network around them.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
