Are you due to graduate this summer and looking to pursue a career as a secondary Maths teacher but don't know where to start?
Would you like to earn money whilst gaining experience as a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant in one our partner secondary schools across Lincolnshire?
Teaching Personnel are currently looking for Maths undergraduates who are due to complete their degree this summer and have aspirations of becoming a secondary Maths teacher, to join our Future Teachers Programme from September 2019. See below for more information.
The Future Teachers Programme is a scheme designed to help tackle the current teacher shortages we have across England and Wales, and allows graduates to secure employment as a full time teaching assistant for a year before having the opportunity to progress onto your teacher training with one of our lead training schools in Lincolnshire, to become a Maths teacher.
Highlights of the Future Teachers Programme:
- Full time Teaching Assistant role for upcoming Graduates of Maths - starting September 2019.
- Paid TA experience for 12 months whilst you gain a range of teaching skills and knowledge - Earning up to £1300 per month!
- Opportunity to progress onto a teacher training course with the same secondary school from Sept 2020.
- Great way to decide if secondary teaching is the career for you.
As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will engage in a range of tasks to get a full feel of what it would be like to be a Maths teacher, from supporting pupils with their studies in small groups and 1:1, to assisting class teachers across all departments including your Maths specialism and getting involved with planning/delivering your own lessons! You will be well supported every step of the way from starting your new role as a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, through to the completion of your teaching training.
If you are due to graduate this summer in a Maths related subject and are considering a career as a secondary Maths teacher, we want to hear from you! To apply to our Future Teachers Programme, please submit your CV via the link below or call the Lincoln Secondary Office for more information.
