Maths graduate Teaching Assistant- South Liverpool

Teaching Personnel are seeking a Maths graduate Teaching Assistant to work in our partner secondary school in South Liverpool. This role will be to specifically focus on raising attainment in Maths prior to the GCSE examinations. This is a unique opening for a Maths graduate to support directly within a Maths department at a high performing secondary school:

  • Maths graduate Teaching Assistant
  • Working under the Head of Maths to deliver pre-set work
  • Tutoring pupils with their GCSE exam preparation
  • Supporting 1-to-1 in Maths lessons and to carry out small group sessions

As a result of the mock examinations highlighting a small number of pupils who require additional support to raise their progress in Maths, the Assistant Head teacher of our partner school wishes to source the support of a Maths graduate Teaching Assistant. This role will start after the Easter holidays until the end of the examination period.

This role provides a Maths graduate with a fantastic opportunity to utilise their subject knowledge and make a difference in pupil's lives. It will also provide invaluable experience prior to any Maths graduates thinking of completing their teacher training in the future.

The incoming Maths graduate will ideally have previous experience of working with 11-16 year olds in an educational capacity. Further being able to deliver resources confidently and to build effective working relationships with pupils is essential.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
