Maths Graduate Intervention Support in Wakefield

Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to start in September 2021

 Are you a maths graduate who is interested in a career in education in Wakefield?

 Would a full-time graduate teaching assistant role in a supportive school give you a chance to decide if teacher training is for you?

 

 As a Maths Graduate teaching assistant, you will join a rewarding school in Wakefield and see what it is like to be on the other side of the desk. The School are looking to appoint strong Math's Graduate Teaching Assistant’s to help and support their Maths Department on a long-term basis in the build up towards the Governments recent Catch up Funding Scheme

You will work in one to one and in small intervention group sessions to help those pupils who have fallen behind in Maths, due to the school closures and children not been able to attend education as normal

 

Person Specification - Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant

• Ideally a 1st or 2:1 maths degree - high 2:2 grades are considered

• Matching A level and GCSE

 • You will want to work within Education, inspiring the next generation

 • Engaging and calm under pressure

 • Be able to communicate effectively with children and colleagues

 • You will be able to use your initiative

 • You must have a patient nature and be willing to go the extra mile.

As part of a large national group of schools there are options for teacher training routes from September 2022 and guaranteed jobs within the group at the end of your proposed training. If you are not 100% sure about teacher training then you do not need to commit right now, join as a maths teaching assistant from September
