Mathematics teaching role - Barking - October half term start.

Catholic school in Barking seeking Mathematics teacher to start October 2019 half term - KS3/KS4 Mathematics.

'Good' Ofsted graded Catholic school in Barking seeking Mathematics teacher from October half term.

Rate: £120 - £215 per day.

A Catholic Secondary school based in Barking, East London - is seeking to appoint a full-time Maths teacher, to cover a maternity leave from October 2019 for the remainder of the academic year 2019/2020.

Due to a member of staff taking maternity leave, an exciting new opportunity has risen for a passionate Maths teacher seeking to start a new challenge within highly regarded Catholic school in Barking, from October 2019.

  • Full-time Maths teacher required for a Barking based Catholic Secondary school.
  • Must hold QTS - both experienced and newly qualified Maths teachers are welcome to apply.
  • Access to CPD training programmes throughout the academic year.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23,720 - £39,406 (plus London weighting).

Catholic school in Barking seeking Mathematics teacher to start October 2019 half term - KS3/KS4 Mathematics.

The school serves a diverse catchment area, and the ethos is based upon encouraging pupils to grow academically, socially and spiritually. The school currently meets the government floor standards for expectancies for progress and attainment. Further to this, the school has recently progressed through a transitional period whereby there has been an introduction of new Senior Leaders.

"Due to a permanent member of staff set to take maternity leave, we are looking to appoint a Maths teacher from October 2019. The incoming Maths teacher will receive full support from our close knit team of staff and experienced Senior Leadership Team. Applications from both experienced and newly qualified teachers are welcome, with full induction support available to NQT's".

As the successful Maths teacher you can expect to meet a welcoming faculty who have seen exciting results from pupils across the school. You will be required to withhold a full time table and take on all responsibilities under the discretion of the Headteacher and Board of Governors.

The responsibilities for the incoming Maths teacher will include but may not be limited to;

  • Accountable to Curriculum Leader during and throughout post.
  • Promote outstanding teaching and learning and demonstrate outstanding practice.
  • Identify clear objectives and content within the maths faculty for all pupils including how these will be taught, evaluated and assessed.
  • Organise a stimulating and inspiring learning environment best suited to each individual pupil.
  • Ensure regulations regarding Health and Safety are maintained both within the Maths department and the school.
