Mathematics teacher

As a result of a vacancy within their Mathematics department, this mixed secondary school within the central Manchester area is looking for a Maths teacher to join them in January. This Maths teaching role will be a full-time position which will initially be introduced on a supply basis but with the view to the successful Mathematician being taken on to a contract.

This will therefore suit a teacher of Maths who is looking for their next full time, long term position at a school which is highly supportive and moving in a strong, upward direction.

The school is a medium sized school with around 800 students, evenly mixed between girls and boys. The school is located within the central Manchester area, easily accessible via public transport with the Metrolink system in place. Staff and students alike find the school and leadership team approachable and hold them in high regard. Teachers display good subject knowledge with students being engaged in their learning.

The school are therefore looking for a Maths teacher that is knowledgeable in their subject, able to adapt to the curriculum and engage with students across the age and ability range. A classroom practitioner who has a proven track record of engaging with students and has an ability to engage those that find the subject tough would be ideal.
