Mathematics Teacher

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit a teacher of Mathematics on behalf of one of a 'Good' graded secondary school located within the Wigan LEA.

The school have an open gap within their Mathematics department and wish to appoint a forward thinking Mathematics teacher following the Easter holidays. It has been highlighted that the incoming teacher will be employed on a temporary basis for the remainder of the academic year with permanent employment from September 2019 (Performance dependant).

Due to the nature of the staffing gap and the school having an experienced Head of Department in place this full time teacher post, starting from Easter, is suitable for an experienced or a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT).

The successful teacher will be joining a hardworking Mathematics Faculty consisting of highly skilled and dedicated practitioners who are passionate about their subject. Each teacher within the department places an emphasis on teaching in a very experiment and investigative-based way.

The successful applicant will be able to engage, motivate and drive enthusiasm amongst our students and play a key role in raising attainment. The applicant will be able to contribute, along with the rest of the Faculty staff, to further promote and develop Mathematics across the school.

Situated in Orrell, the school is on the outskirts of Wigan town centre making it easily accessible via car or public transport from the surrounding areas; Skelmersdale, Chorley, Standish & Ashton-in-Makerfield. It is also a short drive away from the Merseyside areas.
