Teaching Personnel is excited to be working with a partner Primary School in Sidcup to recruit for a Newly Qualified Teacher to start on a full-time contract after the May half term. The school is located right by Foots Cray Meadows and is not far from Sidcup Station (Southeastern Rail). The school is a successful one-form entry school and has extensive grounds which allow for many opportunities for outdoor learning.

The school is a Catholic School with a loving Christian community who understand the contribution of not just the school but the home and parish in ensuring their children receive a high standard of education. The school has strong links with their parish that provides rich opportunities for both the church and school, contributing to a strong sense of community. The school is part of a collaboration with two other local catholic schools and uses the partnership to strengthen teaching and learning and enhance the educational experience for all students.

The school environment is warm and welcoming with pupils highly motivated to engage in learning. Relationships with pupils are very good, with staff creating a positive and inviting learning environment that leads to students really applying themselves to their work. The resources of the school are utilised effectively to ensure this positive atmosphere is maintained with an outdoor library used to help increase enjoyment of reading.

The school aims to enable all children to reach their full potential using an exciting curriculum that both inspires and challenges them. They have high expectations for learning and attitudes which push the whole community to strive for excellence. The school curriculum is broad and provides plenty of opportunities for in-depth exploration of topics. This enables students to acquire knowledge, understanding and skills in a range of subjects which they find exciting and are enthusiastic about.

Training and development is a major feature of the school with continuous training linked to the school development plan, subjects and action plans. Their close-knit community allows for effective mentorship from more senior staff and the school are excited at the prospect of bringing in new talent to grow and develop.
