LSA position, Kingston, immediate start dates.

Job description

Based in Kingston Upon Thames, this 'Good' Primary school are looking to bring in an experienced LSA to support classes within the school.

What are you expected to do as an LSA?

I am looking for someone who can reinforce lessons presented by teachers by supporting students on a 1-2-1 basis or in small groups. You have to promote the school and class rules to help teach students proper behaviour. Help teachers with record keeping, such as tracking attendance and calculating grades. You may have to work with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), this would entail supporting them with all aspects of like within the school.

  • Supporting children's learning.
  • Supporting the main class teacher.
  • Setting up equipment.
  • Helping to prepare the classroom for lessons.
  • Tidying up afterwards and helping with displays.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
