Job description

A Special Needs School in Slough is seeking to appoint an LSA (Learning Support Assistant) to work 1:1 with primary aged children with PMLD and PD. All applicants must have recent experience working with children with special educational needs, in either a primary school or specialist SEN environment. The class consists of 6-8pupils with a range of learning difficulties. You would be working alongside a very experienced LSA who is very supportive, friendly and hardworking. The ideal candidate would have: A proven record of teaching SEN students with a range of needs The ability to prepare and teach effective lessons taking into account the individual needs of learners Have a basic understanding of PECS and Makaton Worked with children with PMLD Registered DBS or be prepared to carry out a new DBS application. All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
