Lower KS2 Teacher

Job description

The Governors and Headteacher of this large primary and Nursery School are seeking to appoint an outstanding Lower Key Stage 2 classroom practitioner to join their hard working and friendly team. The post will be for a mixed year 3/4 class working alongside a parallel teacher for the same age group.

We are an extremely committed staff team who are working to ensure our journey from Requires Improvement takes us to good (last inspection September 2017).

The successful candidate will:-
- Have a good knowledge and understanding of Key Stage 2
curriculum,
- Be organised, enthusiastic and determined to succeed
- Be committed to raising the quality of learning and teaching for
all children,
- Be a good communicator,
- Enjoy working collaboratively.
- Be required to co-ordinate at least one subject area across the
school.

We are fortunate enough to teach in new premises with a beautiful outlook onto Derbyshire. The school was placed in RI following an Ofsted visit in September 2017 and staff and Governors are currently working hard to return to 'Ofsted Good' as rapidly as possible. At this current moment we are looking to appoint an experienced teacher and this position would not be suitable for an NQT.

Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
