Lower KS2 support assistant required in Orrell

Are you experienced supporting across lower KS2? Are you looking to make a real impact to pupils learning? Do you have experience providing 1:1, small group and whole class support?

If so a larger than average school, located in the Orrell area of Wigan is currently looking to appoint a support assistant, to support across either their year 3 or year 4 class, depending on experience, providing general support to the class teacher. The school is aiming to ensure that every child is able to succeed and is looking to further improve ensuring that every child is fully supported and is a school which has a friendly, caring and happy feeling to it creating an environment, which allows pupils to flourish. The role would be to start from September 2019 with interviews taking place in May.

In order to be successful you will need to:

  • Have a good understanding of the KS2 curriculum.
  • Have strong English and Maths skills.
  • Be adaptable, Flexible, Caring, Nurturing and Approachable.
  • Have a real passion for making a difference.
  • Has experience carrying out 1:1 and small group support.
  • Hold a minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
