Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking an experienced Teaching assistant to work across KS1 and KS2 classes providing one to one support in Literacy and Numeracy for pupils.

  • Daily rate of £45-£50 depending upon experience and qualifications

Teaching Personnel are working with a mainstream primary school in the Blandford Forum area who are looking to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant to work with children across Key stages 1 and 2.

The role will be full time, Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-3:30PM. The position will consist of supporting children in small groups and on a one to one basis in Literacy and Numeracy. Having a good knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum would be advantageous.

Your key duties will be to support children in all subjects, implement effective behaviour management strategies and fulfil any other duties allocated by the Class Teacher.

It is essential that you have gained your Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and have prior experience of working within a school environment.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
