Level 4 Teaching Assistant

Job description

Do you have teaching assistant level 4 qualification or equivalent and are you looking for full time work?

We are working closely with a large primary school in Heywood (OL10) who have the immediate need for a dedicated individual to work with a Year 6 pupil for the full academic year, specifically focusing on Literacy and Numeracy. The pupil has had some time out of education and therefore requires intensive support to be ready for KS3/secondary school from September 2020, the position is full time on a 1:1 basis until the end of academic year next summer. If you have experience working in a similar role, supporting on a one-to-one basis and we would like to hear from you.

Requirements include;

- Full time availability and commitment to working until summer 2020

- Teaching Assistant level 4 qualification/HLTA or similar

- Strong knowledge of the KS2 national curriculum

- Previous experience working 1:1 with children who may have barriers to learning

The successful candidate will report to the schools SENCO and have full support throughout the year, situated in Heywood this is a large and oversubscribed primary school. The school had good public transport links to Bury, Manchester and Rochdale and is roughly 5 minutes drive from the M66 motorway and 10 minutes walk from Heywood town centre.
