Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for experienced and confident Additional Leaning Needs (ALN) teaching assistants, to work in Specialist Teaching Facilities in and around Swansea, in various primary schools.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of three months' experience of working within a classroom environment. You may be required to support pupils on a one to basis so experience in this field would be advantageous, but not essential.

We are looking for applicants who have:

  • Experience working in an Additional Learning Needs environment
  • Recent experience in a classroom environment
  • ASD
  • PMLD
  • An excellent track record
  • Good knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work short-term and long-term

Additional Information:

The role of an Additional Learning Needs (ALN) teaching assistant will require:

  • Ideally experience working in an ALN environment;
  • Recent experience in a classroom environment;
  • An excellent track record;
  • Good knowledge of the national curriculum;
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills;
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work short-term and long-term.

  • Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD);
  • Severe Learning Difficulties.

As well as working with students who have Physical Disabilities (PD).
