Salary: Grade 4, £12,738 - £14,171 per annum. £9.19 - £10.22 per hour

32 hours 30 minutes per week, term time working 38 weeks per year

Following a staffing restructure an averaged sized primary school located in the Westhoughton area; want to appoint Level 3 Learning Support Assistant.

The school are seeking to appoint a highly skilled, dedicated and effective Learning Support Assistant who can support our classroom teachers to best meet the needs of our children. You will be non-class based and will deliver a range of intervention strategies to small groups and individuals across Key Stage 1. You will also be required to support teaching staff on yard duty and will be required to supervise lunchtimes on a rota basis. On occasion you may also be required to cover a class in Reception or KS1 in the absence of a teacher.

The successful candidate will need to:

• Be an effective communicator with all members of the school community;
• Have experience carrying out a range of interventions;
• Have strong Numeracy and Literacy Skills;
• Have a Strong knowledge of phonics;
• Have experience of working within key stage 1;
• Be hard working and highly motivated;
• Be a good team player who has a positive work ethos;
• Be an excellent practitioner with a proven track record.
