Are you a Level 3 Teaching Assistant? Do you have a passion for supporting children through their learning journey? Do you have experience of covering pre planned lessons?

If so a primary school located in the Orrell area is looking to appoint a teaching assistant to work within their KS2 setting on a full time basis. The role would be to start as soon as possible and would be for 30 hours a week.

You will:

  • Be providing additional support to class teachers across KS2
  • Be providing 1:1 support with SEN pupils
  • Be working with children in small group across the primary curriculum
  • supervising whole classes when required in the short term absence of a teacher

A successful applicant should:

  • Be creative, enthusiastic and engaging
  • Have a strong passion for helping pupils to succeed in what they do
  • Be able to support a strong Christian ethos
  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or Degree with relevant experience
  • Have previous experience working with pupils
  • Be flexible and adaptable
  • Be a good communicator and work well as part of a team
  • Strong Numeracy and Literacy skills

The school is a smaller than average school that has been grated as Outstanding by Ofsted. The school looks to support all staff and pupils in order to achieve their full potential as well as creating a 'family feel' environment.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
