Level 3 teaching assistant – Bury

Teaching Personnel is currently working with a warm and friendly primary school in the Bury (BL0) area. The Head teacher is currently looking for a Level 3 teaching assistant to work in the schools Year 1 class in a general role, supporting the pupils in the class room. As this is a small school, the successful candidate may work in other class rooms as well so being comfortable in Key Stage 1 and 2 is essential.

The role:

  • Maths and English interventions with lower ability pupils
  • Engage pupils in the class room to raise attainment
  • Support ‘Gifted and Talented’ pupils with small group interventions
  • Assist the teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment.
  • Promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn and develop.

This is a smaller than average primary school is in the heart of Ramsbottom’s local community and works closely with parents and raise attendance and attainment within the classroom. The schools new senior leadership team is strong and supportive with teachers and teaching assistants given ample opportunity for professional development with CPD courses available for all staff.

  • Salary from GBP285 - GBP300 a week
  • Start date – January 2019
