Level 3 SEN teaching assistant needed for Bury BL8 primary school in September 2018

  • Are you a Level 3 Teaching Assistant?
  • Do you have a passion for supporting children through their learning journey?
  • Do you have experience of leading 1:1 and small group interventions?
  • Have you previously worked across Key Stage 1 or 2?

If so, Teaching Personnel is working closely with a primary school in the Bury (BL8) area who are gearing up for the new academic year starting on September 4rd 2018. The primary school has had a large intake of pupils with special educational needs for the new academic year and is looking for an experienced teaching assistant to come in and support the pupils so they can access the schools curriculum.

You will:

  • Be providing additional support to class teachers across Key Stage 1 and 2
  • Be providing 1:1 support with SEN pupils or general TA roles depending on the role in the school
  • Be working with children in small group across the primary curriculum
  • supervising whole classes when required in the short term absence of a teacher

A successful primary school applicant should:

  • Be creative, enthusiastic and engaging
  • Have a strong passion for helping pupils to succeed in what they do
  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or Degree with relevant experience
  • Have previous experience working with pupils with special educational needs
  • Be flexible and adaptable

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
