Teaching Personnel is currently working alongside an 'Outstanding' Nursery in Richmond, TW9, who are currently on the lookout for a Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant for the Summer Term.

Located on the outskirts of Richmond, between The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and Richmond Park, the Nursery offers fantastic outdoor learning opportunities for the pupils, with easy transport links to and from the school.

The Role

- To assist the teacher with the day to day running of the provision by assisting in the planning, preparation and delivery of activities devised to meet the children's developmental needs.

- To ensure that high quality learning opportunities are provided for all.

- To ensure the ethos of the school, children's happiness, general welfare and safety are maintained to a high standard.

- To assist the teacher in the implementation of the curriculum and IEPs.

- To assist in the integration of children to and from the Jigsaw unit, the mainstream nursery, the two-year old provision and into the lunch club.

- To assist the teacher with record keeping, in particular maintaining learning journeys.

- To support the learning needs of key worker children and feed this back effectively to the teacher in charge and to parents.

Relevant Qualifications/Experience

- NNEB or equivalent level three qualification is essential.

- Current paediatric first aid certificate, or willingness to obtain this.

- GCSE or equivalent qualification in English and Maths and the ability to use accurate spoken and written English.

- Recent experience of working with children in the EYFS age range.

- Have a current DBS on the Update Service or be willing to get on (full assistance provided).

- Be able to provide 2 references covering 6 years.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
