Our client secondary school situated in the heart of Trafford is looking to recruit a level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant to join their support team in January. This small mainstream secondary school services the local, diverse community of Stretford and as a result of a open vacancy, they are looking to recruit a full time level 2 or level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their Inclusion team. The school has a school SENCO who oversees the support team, already having a team of 3 TAs. The school has a fantastic provision for students with additional needs; with an on site resource area where specific learning can take place with students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.

Given the open nature of this vacancy, there is a real opportunity to secure and transition onto a school based contract, working as a permanent member of support team reporting to the school special educational needs co-ordinator (SENCO).

The successfully appointed level 2/3 TA will be working with a specific cohort of identified students ensuring that they are supported as required. There is a focus in the core subjects with the majority of students being in year 8, so any experience of supporting 12 – 13 years olds is highly desirable but not essential. Any TAs with the level 2 or 3 qualification are encouraged to apply now for immediate consideration.

This mixed secondary school is located in the heart of Trafford, close to the local metrolink tram stop making it very easy to commute to for those on public transport. The school is set in pleasant residential surroundings with plenty of parking in the area as well as on site car park for all staff to use. The school is a small school in size and cohort with all students being known to staff as a result. The school has a family orientated feel with the appointed TA benefitting from a supportive leadership team and direction.
