Level 2 Teaching Assistant required for Barnsley Primary

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Barnsley primary school that requires an immediate start of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual who enjoys a challenge and wants to improve the quality of education for young pupils.

The job role:

  • You will work under the instruction/guidance of the teacher and other senior staff members, to ensure the care and support of the pupils.
  • You will help enable access to learning for the pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of their classroom.
  • Will involve work within the classroom and outside the main teaching area.
  • Working in a well respected primary school in the heart of the community.
  • Supporting class teacher within a strong senior team.

You will have:

  • Good literacy and numeracy
  • Level 2 NVQ for teaching assistants or equivalent, or have relevant work experience.
  • Training or experience in relevant learning strategies.
  • Motivation to help provide the best care and education for KS1 and KS2 pupils.
  • Shown initiative and be confident to get involved in all areas of the school.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
