Our client secondary school located just off the A4232 are seeking a full time teaching assistant to start after the summer holidays.
- Full time Teaching Assistant position starting in September
- Medium Sized Cardiff Community Secondary School
- Attractive pay rates starting for £54+ a day
- Supporting with pupils through all subjects & aspects of learning
- Opportunity to support with transition of Year 6/7 Pupils
This is a mixed 11-19 years secondary school with around 700 students currently on roll, located West of Cardiff, the school is easily accessible via a range of public transports and is situated close to the A4232. The school is soon to be home to modern state of the art facilities with large classrooms and a senior leadership team that promotes career development and promotion from within.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
- Supporting identified students with Literacy and Numeracy on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Building relationships with the pupils to keep them motivated and raise attainment
- Act as Role Model for pupils who may be disengaged with learning and education
- Providing support to pupils who may struggle to integrate within mainstream classes due to their challenging behaviour
