Learning Support Teaching Assistant
Due to a number of pupils within the school currently falling behind their peers, we require a Learning Support Teaching Assistant to join the department after October half term to assist in raising attainment and supporting pupils in accessing the curriculum.
You will be working within a large school in Rochdale where each pupil's development is valued and everybody is encouraged to reach their potential, no matter their current ability. There is a strong support structure installed throughout the school for pupils as well as staff and this is seen clearly by the massive investment the school put towards better resources and facilities for teaching and learning. The school in Rochdale is located a short distance off the A627, just off the M62 whilst also being situated a stones throw away from major public transport links to and from Manchester City Centre.
Working as a Learning Support Teaching Assistant is a very rewarding role where you will play a massive impact in the development of each pupil through a very important stage in their life. Working alongside identified pupils either on a 1:1 or group basis you will assist them with any queries or support they need, dependent on your subject specialism, as well as writing up individual reports and development plans for the pupil to monitor their progress.
- Get paid up to £70 a day as a Learning Support Teaching Assistant, dependent on your experience and the responsibilities of the role
- Full time position starting after October half term, ongoing until the end of the academic year
- Working in a large modern secondary school based in Rochdale
- Strong support structure installed within the school for pupils as well as staff
- Further development opportunities available through Teaching Personnel's CPD courses
