Learning Support Mentor

Here at Teaching Personnel, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Learning Support Mentor who is looking for a full time role, term time only. The role is working from 8:30-3:30, 5 days a week.

The role is supporting a pupil with SEMH and challenging behaviours. You will be required to support the pupil on and off site. You must have the ability to adapt and support the pupil effectively and ensure they are engaged with their daily tasks. Although the pupils are not in mainstream settings, they are still following structured lessons with additional extra curricular activities.

To be able to apply for this role you must have:

  • Experience of working with children and young people
  • Minimum of 2 x A levels or equivalent (NVQ/BTEC Level 3 or higher)
  • GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths
  • Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle
  • Great references
  • Great communication skills with pupils and staff

All candidates who work with Teaching Personnel are required a DBS in child workforce which is registered on the update service. If you do not have a current DBS then do not worry as we can support you through the process.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
