Learning Support Mentor

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for an outstanding and empathetic individual to support pupils at a Primary School in Plymouth for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.

This school encourages their staff to nurture through consistency. They find that their pupils flourish as they feel safe and valued. Pupils are nourished through breakfast clubs, therapeutic interventions and curriculum opportunities. They utilise personalised learning to bring the best out of individual pupils, and a broad and balanced curriculum so pupils are well prepared to face the challenges of a secondary school environment.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting adults/children with SEMH and/or challenging behaviour as a result of additional needs
  • An empathetic and flexible support style
  • DBS on the update service
  • Team Teach is desirable, and training is available.
  • You must be a driver with your own car
  • full time role, 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
