Job description

Learning Support Mentor required for a Bolton Based Secondary school, from September 2018 throughout the academic year.

This well respected same sex faith school, based in the heart of Bolton are seeking to appoint two Learning Support Mentors due to an influx of pupils creating a restructure within the staff team to work as part of their internal cover and support team ahead of the new academic year.

  • Full time Learning Support Mentors required, September 2018 - Bolton based Secondary school.
  • Relevant experience working within an education capacity is essential to be considered for this role or a minimum of a degree level qualification.
  • Must uphold the school faith and values.

  • Earn up to £1200 per month.

This progressive and outward-looking faith-based Secondary school was established in September 2014, recently having moved into a new state of art building with outstanding teaching and learning resources, pupils are provided with tools to become tomorrow's successors.

The successful Learning Support Mentors will be expected to;

  • Work 1:1, in small intervention groups as directed by class teacher and or deliver pre-planned sessions across the school board with full guidance and support.
  • Confidence and flexibility to work across the
  • Promote a growth mind-set through implementing classroom behaviour policies.
  • Tracking progress and feeding back to Senior Leaders through relevant assessment and evaluation in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team.

The school is ideally situated to be accessible via the M61 and the surrounding areas; Bury, Wigan, Salford and Chorley. Public transport links are also easily accessible, with the Bus and Train station a few miles away from the school.
