Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a "Good" school located in Belper. The school cater for students with High Functioning Autism between the ages of 5 - 19 years old.

The school provide specialist education, therapy and care for children and young people with speech, language and communication needs and Aspergers Syndrome.

We are looking for to deliver both 1:1 work and whole class support (classes usually aren't any bigger then 5/6).

The ideal candidate:

  • Previous experience with SEN such as Autism, Asperger's or SEMH
  • Experience using Makaton/PECS/Sign Language
  • Recent experience within a School / Residential setting
  • Personal experience with SEN
  • A child workforce DBS - registered to the update service

We are looking for candidates for both day to day work and for longer term roles.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
