Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Hourly Rate: £9 - £12

Start Date: 5^th November 2018 and 7^th January 2019

If so, Teaching Personnel may have the perfect opportunity for you. We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in York. They are looking to recruit two Learning Support Assistants to begin in November and January. Positions are temporary to begin with but are likely to roll into permanent positions for two excellent candidates, with the right availability.

As a LSA within this SEN school you will be required to work both 1:1 and in small groups with individuals who have varying additional needs. These are inclusive of: Autism, ADHD, Moderate/ Severe/ Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Social Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties and Physical Disabilities. Your day to day role will vary depending on the requirements of the schools. Once settled within the school you will take on more responsibility and be assigned key pupils to support.

As a Learning Support Assistant you will therefore have to have:

• Experience in one of the above settings
• A caring, nurturing personality
• Passion to support the emotional and intellectual development of each pupil
• English and Maths GCSE grade C (or equivalent)
• An Enhanced Child Only DBS registered with the Update Service (can apply through registration)
