Teaching Personnel are working with a primary school in Poole, catering for pupils with statements of SEMH or Autism, and are excluded from mainstream school. The school runs as a usual primary school, with smaller class sizes of around 6 pupils. The school has a very supportive team and offer ongoing, regular training to support you in your role.

The school are looking for a full time Teaching Assistant to support in one of their classes. This is to start immediately and is ongoing for the academic year.

To be successful in this role you should have:

  • experience within a primary school
  • experience supporting SEN and/or behaviour
  • a nurturing approach
  • strong behaviour management

Team Teach training is desirable but not required. Teaching Personnel offer Team Teach training as part of our CPD Academy.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
