  • 8.30am - 4pm

Teaching Personnel are seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join one of our client schools from September 2018. The school is an SEN setting in Poole, catering for primary aged pupils with SEMH needs.

We are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to support in a Key Stage 2 class. The class sizes are very small, of around 6 pupils, and you will be working alongside a class teacher and another TA.

To be successful in the role you should:

  • have experience working within a primary setting
  • have a keen interest in supporting children with additional needs
  • have a nurturing and positive approach to behaviour management
  • be resilient and confident working with challenging behaviour

Manual handling training (e.g. Team Teach or MAPA) is desirable but not required as we can provide CPD training for this.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
