Learning Support Assistant

We are working with a therapeutic school in Sittinbgbourne, which specialise in edducation for children aged between 7-16 years old who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health problems.  The students also have communication and interaction issues and cognitive and delayed learning.

This school provides a very safe, calm and therapeutic environment to get the best out of the children and the classes are kept small (no more than 7 children per class) for close interaction with the Teachers and PEGS (Progress Engagement Guides).

• The shifts will usually be Monday- Friday Time: 08:30-15:30, but you would be expected to stay later for training days and meetings (all paid for)
• The ideal candidates will have lots of patience, be resilient, proactive and engaging.
• Male only (male 1:1 with a male student)
• Experience working with Autism, ADHD and communicatin issues
• Qualifications needed-Minimum education to GCSE Level with A-C in Maths and English
• You must have prior experience as a Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant with SEND children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
