Learning Support Assistant - Mental Health and Wellbeing
In anticipation of children returning to the classroom in March, the Department of Education has announced grants worth more than GBP750, for the Diana Award, the Anti-Bullying Alliance and the Anne Frank Trust. The purpose: to help support students and staff whose mental health has been negatively impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdowns.
As such, we are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants or Teachers with a background in supporting the mental health of children and adults.
Part-time and full-time positions available
Pay: GBP60-80/day
Roles and responsibilities:
- Working 1:1 with students who require emotional and pastoral support
- Running interventions and workshops with small groups of children to discuss emotions and mental health
- Building positive and trusting relationships with students and their parents
- Working with other education professionals
The ideal candidate:
- Background in Mental Health (Degree Qualified)
- Experience working with students and adults with mental health disorders
- Experience running interventions and workshops
