Learning Support Assistant - Scarborough
Are you a Learning Support Assistant with experience working with pupils with SEN and Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
SEN Learning Support Assistants are required to work in our partner Alternative Provisions and Special Needs Schools located in Scarborough and surrounding areas. Teaching Personnel is the market leader in education recruitment, covering England and Wales. Our Hull and Lincoln SEN Office is located in central Hull and services the mainstream Primary, Secondary, SEN Schools and PRUs across North Yorkshire, Hull and Lincolnshire. As an organisation, we work with the Head Teachers and SENCOs to ensure we provide the right staff for their setting.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working with young people, predominantly on a 1:1 basis, with varying needs such as SEMH, MLD and Behavioural Difficulties. Many of our partnership provisions require Learning Support Assistants to work with pupils in order to support them through their education and motivate them to engage in lessons.

Learning Support Assistants are required to work in a range of roles in our partner Schools in York. The successful Learning Support Assistant will have a patient and empathetic nature, in order to work with pupils with varying in needs.
Applications encouraged from:
- Individuals who have experience with SEN within educational settings
- Those with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) experience
- Behaviour Support Workers
- Counsellors
- Graduates specialising in SEN and Inclusion or Psychology
Previous experience in education is not essential.
