SEN Teaching Assistants - Short and Long Term roles

We are working with many SEN Schools in Southend who are regularly needing cover to work with 5-19 year olds. This need will continue into the new academic year which is why we’re getting ahead of the game. This role is ideal for those seeking flexible working on days you are available which will be pre-booked as often as possible. We are also looking for long-term, full-time Teaching Assistants to support as well.

Requirements:

Applications are welcome from TAs and LSAs who have worked with students with special educational needs and challenging behaviour and hold an enhanced DBS for children and adults on the update service (we can support you to apply for one if required).

We also welcome applications from support workers and care assistants who are looking for a change of career! This will be a great opportunity to build upon your skill set and try something new!

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A desire to support children and young people in their education
  • Clear communication skills
  • Committed to securing high levels of progress, achievement for students
  • Strong interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
