KS2 LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT - AUTISM

Are you a passionate, personable and caring learning support assistant seeking a new challenge? Do you have experience supporting non-verbal autistic pupils? If yes, we want to hear from you!

An ofsted rated 'Good' Primary School, situated in Harlesden, is currently seeking an experienced and friendly learning support assistant to join their lovely team right away!

About The Role:

- Full-time position

- Supporting a non-verbal autistic pupil in year 4

- Delivering reading, writing and maths interventions

- Creating tailored lesson plans to suit the needs of the pupil

- Assisting the classroom teacher with overall classroom management

About The School:

The school is located a short walking distance from Harlesden underground station which is situated on the Bakerloo line. This is a lovely 3 form entry Primary School that has pupils from different ethnicity's, backgrounds and religions and they have an experienced and supportive senior leadership team in place.

Ideal Candidate:

- At least 6 months experience supporting non-verbal autism

- Trained in Makaton would be ideal but not necessary

- Excellent communication skills

- Patient, caring and flexible

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
